My site runs on a Linode as well. The customer service is excellent and the performance is excellent. I give Linode 2 thumbs up for their service.

Ubuntu is pretty good for "n00bs" and you can get alot of help with it. A 360 would be a good choice to start out with too, it manages this site very well and I don't require much more yet. Let me know if you have any other questions! *cough* referral code *cough* ;)

I'm planning to upgrade my hosting from shared to VPS. I think I'll go with Linode 360. My website is growing and I need to run certain applications requiring root access. Thanks for this great review! What would be the best OS for n00bs?
