Thank you for using Gentoo.

Thank you very much. I will test when I get home.
Quick developer responsiveness like this makes me feel
that Gentoo is a high-quality and well maintained distribution.
It also makes me feel part of it.
Thank you for doing this for a community distribution.

Just wanted to say thanks myself to all the Gentoo Users out there that are participating in this “community distro” as well. You are the people that keep this machine rolling and keep Gentoo devs motivated.

oh well, yes, that’s what I kinda miss on arch distro… kind of a floppy community, and not responsive enough in my opinion…

Lucky user. I have exactly opposite experience. I (user) requesting to fix a more than one year old bug was treated like a nuisance, which remained even after i posted a patch solving the bug (result is forum ban + me moving to another distro).

Well. Maybe both authors have their point. I for myself can only support the first “Thank you very much.” There are a lot of devs willing to help.

Sure, It is not always easy to find the right ones and come in touch with them. But after that you will find very helpful people. So also a heartly “Thanks!” from my side.
